The 5kWh gasifier efficiently converts biomass and household waste into directly usable gas with 1 – 5 kWh of electric power.

Possible input waste types are: wood chips, twigs, nut shells, seed husks, corn shakes, stalks of agricultural plants, household waste. In general it concerns materials with with an ash melting point of at least 1300 degrees. Please avoid putting in toxic materials such as PVC. Plastics such as PP, PE and PS are allowed. Always us a minimum of 25% of wood chips or comparable materials as a basis for the input materials.

The gasifier can only be used outside as it produces a substantial amount of smoke during start-up.

To start the gasifier open the top lit an fill the bunker with wood chips or small pieces of dried branches (3 cm max). Do not use wet or fresh wood as it will not ignite. In general material moisture content should not exceed 25%. Don’t insert big pieces of material as they will lead to bridging and stop the gasification process.

The gasifier is ignited from below. To speed up the burning process air can be forced into the air feeder at the bottom. This may take several minutes. When the colour of the exhausting smoke turns from white to yellowish, check the gas for flamability. Ignite it over the open gasifier lit. If the gas ignites close the lit.

Continue to blow air into the air feeder with the fan. Start a electric generator on gasoline.

Ignite the gas that comes out of the gas filter to check its flamability and quality. When the flame is pinkish or yellowish, the filter does not work or is not connected correctly. When the filter operates correctly the flame is clear blue.

Douse the flame and then without stopping the electric generator shut of its gasoline supply and wait untill it runs down. Connect the gasifier filter outlet to the generator and start it again.

Listen to the generator and adjust the gasflow manually to make sure it runs smoothly.

You can now generate 1 – 5 kWh of electric power as long as you keep refilling the gasifier regularly. The gasifier delivers 4 – 6 hours of gas (with an electric power of 1 kWh) on one filling of waste materials.

Please note that if you sharply increase the electrical load you should aditionally adjust the gasflow to ensure the engine runs smoothly.

If you do not add extra waste materials the gasifier will burn out and the gasifier will run down.

The maintenance is relatively simple and can be carried out by the customer.

Installation

The gasifier is fully tested and delivered on the basis of a plug-and-play installation by the customer.

Commitment

• Pyrolyze B.V. undertakes to carry out the task specified in the order to its best effort and knowledge.
• Pyrolyze B.V. will deliver a pyrolysis plant as described in the offer.
• As it does not control the quality, properties, and behavior of the products to be treated in its equipment, Pyrolyze does not commit itself to guaranteeing results relating to obtaining chemical, physio-chemical, biological, sensory, chemical characteristics, chemical transformations or others, on the products processed.

Industrial Property

In the event that the present contract relates wholly or in part to the sale of a material, equipment or process patented by Pyrolyze B.V. or its partners, the customer will declare not to have filed or not to subsequently file any patent for the invention of process, device or use, utility certificate or equivalent related directly or indirectly to the equipment covered by the contract.

Non Disclosure and Confidentiality

In order to protect the industrial property upon entering the agreement the customer, for itself and its affiliates, intending to be legally bound, will irrevocably agree and guarantee to Pyrolyze B.V. that it shall not disclose or otherwise reveal directly or indirectly, to any third party of any nature, any Confidential Information or Confidential Source provided by Pyrolyze B.V. to another Party hereto, or otherwise acquired, without the prior specific written consent of Pyrolyze B.V. providing such information or as otherwise required by law.

Legal basis

The order contract shall be governed by and construed and enforceable in accordance with the applicable laws of The Netherlands. Also the general terms and conditions apply.
